More About Marilyn Hoeck Neal Since early childhood, painting and drawing have been a great joy to Marilyn Hoeck Neal. In "painting in the spirit of beauty", she strives as an artist to work in the creative flow and reflect essences of the beauty in the world that surrounds us all.
Marilyn's formal education includes a BFA from Cal State L.A. with graduate work at USC and UCLA. She has subsequently studied at Atleier of London, the Vladimar Tretchikoff School of Painting in South Africa, and La Esuela de Artes Plasticas in Mexico City, where muralist Diego Rivera and other famous artists were instructors. Marilyn continues to study with well-known artists, including the October, 2003 workshop with the legendary Milford Zornes.
Marilyn has twice served as Artist-in-Residence at Yosemite National Park, and represented the U.S. at the official watercolor show of the Seoul Olympics. She has also had over thirty one-woman shows throughout the world. These include:
